Saving Lives from the Sky: Support the North West Air Ambulance Charity

The North West Air Ambulance Charity is a life-saving charity that brings the hospital to the patient.

The charity’s helicopters and HEMS (Helicopter Emergency Medical Services) response vehicles operate 365 days a year, with highly skilled specialist doctors and HEMS paramedics on board providing enhanced pre-hospital care to patients across the entire North West each year – an area covering 5,500 square miles and over eight million people.

Three helicopters and four critical care vehicles, based in Greater Manchester and Blackpool, are kitted out with all the lifesaving equipment we need to bring enhanced pre-hospital care to patients who need them the most.

Since the charity launched in 1999, their crew has been called to over 55,000 missions across the region, with the service called out an average of 7 times each day.

The North West Air Ambulance Charity needs to raise £18million a year to remain operational and receives NO government or NHS funding.

It’s only thanks to the generosity of people like you that we can continue supporting the most critically ill patients across the North West
